Mayday Recruitment partners with a respected funeral services organisation to appoint a National Mortuary Manager to lead governance, capability and continuous improvement across mortuary operations across Australia.

The role requires a senior leader who can work hands-on with mortuary teams, drive standards and ensure care excellence while coordinating across multiple states. Travel nationally is required to support operations and governance across the network.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in regulated environments.
• Strong governance, risk and compliance knowledge.
• Ability to develop frameworks, policies and audit processes.
• People leadership and stakeholder management across dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide national governance across mortuary operations.
• Embed a consistent national framework for standards and risk management.
• Travel regularly to mortuary locations and operational sites across Australia.
• Develop capability pathways and training for mortuary teams.
• Collaborate with HR, Quality, WHS and Facilities to strengthen capability.
• Drive continuous improvement and national consistency in standards.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning and retention initiatives.
