Job summary

Protecc Pty Ltd is seeking a Lead Technician to own LED display and AV installations across Australia. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate with builders and project managers, and ensure precise configuration and commissioning of display systems.

You will manage Novastar hardware setup, network backbone design, and multi-site project delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and communication with clients. Travel is essential for national deployments.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience installing and commissioning LED display systems.
Ability to lead a crew on site to completion of projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication with clients, builders and PMs.
Familiarity with IP networking, VLANs and fibre for AV deployments.
Proven leadership on site and ability to manage scopes and timelines.
Willingness to travel nationally across Australia.
Working at heights and EWP experience.

Responsibilities

Lead installation, commissioning and handover of LED display systems — cabinet build-up, mounting, rigging, pixel mapping, port allocation and full commissioning.
Program and troubleshoot Novastar hardware end to end — NovaLCT, VX and H series controllers, etc.
Design and build network/backbone for AV systems — IP schemes, VLANs, switches, fibre.
Deliver broader AV works — displays, matrix switching, audio distribution, control systems.
Lead and mentor crew on site and uphold workmanship and safety standards.
Own client relationships on site: provide progress updates and scope conversations.
