Job summary

people2people is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to lead HSE across a national property portfolio in Australia. This hands-on role combines strategy with day-to-day operations, reporting into Asset Management leadership and partnering with People & Culture.

You will strengthen HSE systems, governance and processes while driving a proactive safety culture, visiting sites and working with clients, contractors and tenants to turn strategy into practical outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience within HSE, WHS, environmental or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of WHS/OHS legislation and compliance.
• Experience implementing HSE systems aligned to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and continuously improving HSE systems, policies and procedures.
• Leading workplace risk assessments, hazard identification and mitigation strategies.
• Conducting site inspections, audits, assurance activities and compliance reviews.
• Managing incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and HSE reporting.
• Maintaining systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Overseeing contractor HSE requirements, onboarding and ongoing compliance.
• Monitoring environmental risks and supporting sustainable operational practices.
• Delivering HSE training, toolbox talks and safety awareness initiatives.
• Monitoring legislative changes and ensuring processes remain compliant.
• Building relationships with operational leaders, clients, contractors and tenants.
• Influencing behavioural and cultural change to embed ownership and accountability for safety.
