Job summary
UGL is seeking a National HSE Operations Manager to lead safety strategy across a national portfolio of major rail, road, tunnel and data centre projects. You will partner with General Managers and Project Directors to manage critical risk and shape safety performance across multiple live projects nationwide.
This role offers hybrid working arrangements and regular national travel, with opportunities to influence senior leaders and drive significant safety improvements across a complex,
Qualifications
- Senior safety leadership across major rail, road, tunnel or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive safety performance.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and safety management systems.
- Relevant HSE qualification with incident investigation credentials.
- Collaborative, calm and pragmatic leader with strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead HSE strategy, governance and assurance across a national major projects portfolio.
- Support and develop project HSE teams across multiple projects and locations.
- Partner with executive and project leaders to improve safety performance and manage critical risk.
- Lead significant incident response, investigations and organisational learning initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement, assurance activities and implementation of UGL and CIMIC HSE programs.
