Job summary

ProClinical is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead the Australian operations of a growing clinical research organisation. You will oversee national operations, drive P&L performance, and work with the executive team to execute growth strategies across multiple sites.

You'll develop leadership teams, ensure regulatory compliance (ICH-GCP and Australian requirements), manage stakeholders including sponsors and CROs, and shape the strategic direction of the Australian business.

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within clinical research, clinical operations or healthcare services.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations and leading senior management teams.
• Strong commercial acumen, including P&L ownership, budgeting and financial performance management.
• A solid understanding of clinical trial delivery, ICH-GCP and Australian regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience driving business growth, operational improvements and organisational change.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with sponsors, CROs and executive leadership teams.
• Experience supporting business expansion, site development or acquisitions would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple Australian clinical research sites.
• Take ownership of national P&L performance, budgets, forecasting and operational profitability.
• Develop and execute business strategies to drive sustainable revenue growth and operational excellence.
• Lead, mentor and develop senior operational leaders, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee clinical trial delivery, ensuring operational efficiency, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthen relationships with pharmaceutical sponsors, CROs, investigators and strategic partners.
• Support business expansion initiatives, including new site development, operational integration and potential acquisitions.
• Drive continuous improvement across workforce productivity, resource allocation and organisational performance.
• Collaborate with the Group executive team on strategic planning and investment priorities.
