Job summary

ALRA | Australia's Leading Recruitment Agency seeks an experienced Technical Director to join a leading environmental consultancy. You will shape technical standards, develop people, influence strategy and lead quality across contaminated land, remediation and validation projects.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll guide area managers and project teams, drive excellence, review reports, mentor staff and strengthen client relationships while pursuing new opportunities to grow the business.

Qualifications

• 20+ years' experience in environmental consulting.
• Proven technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• CEnvP Site Contamination or COH accreditation, or eligibility and commitment to certification.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks and best practice.
• Experience mentoring teams, reviewing technical deliverables and influencing project outcomes.
• Commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across complex contaminated land, investigation, remediation and validation projects.
• Review and sign off technical reports and proposals for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop technical teams, building capability and future leaders.
• Provide trusted technical advice to clients and strengthen key relationships.
• Identify opportunities, contribute to tenders and support business growth.
• Champion technical innovation, best practice and continuous improvement.
