Job summary

ALRA | Australia's Leading Recruitment Agency seeks an experienced National Technical Executive - Environmental to lead technical strategy, standards and people development across a national environmental consultancy. You will influence project direction, mentor teams and strengthen client relationships on complex contaminated land projects.

You'll report to senior leadership and shape bids, reports and regulatory compliance while driving innovation and capability across the business.

Qualifications

• 20+ years' experience in environmental consulting.
• Proven technical leadership across complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Accreditation in CEnvP Site Contamination or COH, or eligibility to achieve certification.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction across contaminated land, investigation, remediation and validation projects.
• Review and sign off technical reports and proposals, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

National Technical Executive - Environmental

$200,000 – $220,000 + Employee Profit Share

An opportunity for an experienced Technical Director to join a well-established national environmental consultancy, taking a leading role in shaping technical standards, developing people and influencing the future direction of the business.

Working across a diverse portfolio of contaminated land, remediation and complex environmental projects, you'll be a trusted technical authority while also playing an important role in strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities and building capability across the wider team.

With an established national presence, strong industry reputation and a steady pipeline of major projects, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact, both technically and strategically.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll provide technical leadership across the business, working closely with Area Managers, project teams and senior stakeholders to drive quality, consistency and technical excellence.

Lead technical direction across complex contaminated land, investigation, remediation and validation projects

Review and sign off technical reports and proposals, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance

Mentor and develop technical teams, building capability and future leaders

Provide trusted technical advice to clients and strengthen key relationships

What You'll Bring

20+ years' experience in environmental consulting, with strong contaminated land expertise

Proven technical leadership across complex projects and multidisciplinary teams

CEnvP Site Contamination or Certified Occupational Hygienist accreditation, or eligibility and commitment to achieve certification

Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks and technical best practice

Experience mentoring teams, reviewing technical deliverables and influencing project outcomes

Commercial awareness, strong client relationships and the ability to identify opportunities for growth
