As a Senior Environmental Consultant in Contaminated Land, join a team that actually lets you do your job - no micromanaging, no chargeability metrics, no timesheets. Just proper project work, delivered from start to finish.

This is a rare sweet spot for mid-to-senior consultants who’ve done their time in the Tier 1 trenches and are now looking for something better: a company where your autonomy is respected, your projects are yours to own, and your work is backed by a team that values delivery over politics.

You’ll work across a range of public and private sector projects including Sydney Trains panel work, groundwater monitoring for Defence in NSW and ACT, remediation and investigations for Sydney Water D4C, plus high-profile sites like Sydney Airport and Ausgrid.

The Role

This is an end-to-end contaminated land role where you’ll manage projects from investigation through to remediation and validation, with the support of a stable team and solid systems.

You’ll:

• Deliver PSI / DSI / RAP / validation reporting across infrastructure, energy, and government sites
• Liaise with clients and regulators (they want someone client-facing)
• Oversee junior consultants and help support their development
• Manage field programs, sampling, drilling and monitoring programs
• Lead your own portfolio and bring a sense of ownership to your work

You’ll join a friendly Sydney team of 25, with 8 CLM specialists, led by a technically sharp, well-liked female Principal who’s known for her hands-on support and genuine interest in her team’s progression. What You’ll Bring

• 6–8 years in contaminated land consulting
• Strong field, reporting and client-facing experience
• Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or similar
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and keep projects moving
