Job summary

JCDecaux in Australia is seeking a National Development Manager (12-month contract) to lead development of large format out-of-home media assets, coordinating across Town Planners, Architects and other planning specialists.

You'll manage existing contracts, navigate state and local government processes, and work with the commercial team to prepare tender documentation and client presentations. The role requires strong attention to detail and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Town Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Property or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of local and State government processes.
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong IT literacy in Excel, MS Word and project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing contract relationships.
  • Development of new and redevelopment of existing large format out-of-home media assets.
  • Maintain knowledge of State and Local government town planning legislation as it relates to out-of-home media.
  • Assist the broader commercial function in preparing development related tender documentation and presentations to existing and prospective clients.
  • Establish an ongoing positive relationship with State and Local government.
  • Visit and present JCDecaux's development concepts to State and Local government.
  • Stay informed of new town planning or related laws, codes and standards related to out-of-home media.
  • As required, represent JCDecaux on the Outdoor Media Associations (OMA) regulatory affairs committee.
  • Monitor and understand planning schemes for all JCDecaux related Councils.
  • As required review (Outdoor Media Association) OMA town planning reports for any changes which may affect potential JCDecaux future contract areas.
  • Manage the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual development related reports

About the role:

The role of National Development Manager (12-month contract) provides a unique career combination of both property and media industry sectors. It will see you manage and implement the development of large format media assets. Working across multi-disciplined consultant teams that include Town Planners, Architects and other town planning specialists, as well as direct engagement with key contract partners across State and Local Government.

A Day in the Life:

Whilst there's no typical day in the dynamic world of media, you can expect your role to involve the following:

  • Manage existing contract relationships.
  • Development of new and redevelopment of existing large format out-of-home media assets
  • Have and maintain a strong general knowledge of State and Local government town planning legislation as it relates to out-of-home media.
  • Assist the broader commercial function in preparing development related tender documentation and presentations to existing and prospective clients.

About You:

You'll ideally come from a Town Planning background or have demonstrated experience within property or relevant industry within Government or private sector. You'll be someone with exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills and a real team player. In addition to:

  • Degree Qualified in Town Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Property or closely related discipline.
  • Knowledge of local and State government processes
  • Be highly skilled in all administrative tasks.
  • IT literate in Excel, MS word and related project management software programs.
  • Be capable of concurrently managing a wide range of tasks and priorities while maintaining a highly professional approach.
  • Be able to communicate and work effectively with stakeholders to achieve common objectives.
