Job summary

Optimum Health Solutions is seeking a National Business Development Manager to drive growth at a national level, pursuing tenders, contracts, and grants while maintaining a reduced clinical caseload in your discipline.

You will lead tender responses, build senior relationships, and manage a national pipeline, reporting to the Managing Director and shaping the next chapter of Optimum's growth. AHPRA registration and BD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration in an allied health discipline.
• Proven BD, commercial management, or strategic sales in a B2B or government context.
• Track record of securing contracts, tenders, or grant funding of material value.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce compelling tender and grant submissions.
• Commercial negotiation skills and the confidence to close.
• The ability to manage a national pipeline independently over long sales cycles.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Job description

Most allied health clinicians spend their careers delivering care. This role asks you to do that and shape the direction of an organisation at the same time.

Optimum Health Solutions is a multidisciplinary allied health provider with 15+ clinic locations across NSW and Tasmania. We are now investing in a dedicated national business development function, and we want a practising clinician to lead it.

As National Business Development Manager, you will drive Optimum's growth at a national level. That means pursuing government tenders, securing corporate health contracts, writing grant applications, and building the strategic partnerships that will define our next chapter. It does not mean managing local referral relationships or running a territory. This is senior, complex, high-stakes BD work.

Alongside that, you will maintain a reduced clinical caseload in your own discipline. Not as a side note, as a genuine advantage. Your credibility as a practising clinician is what opens doors in this sector that a non-clinical BD professional cannot.

What You'll Be Doing
