Job summary

Gilson College invites applications for a part-time Music Tutor to join our team. The role involves teaching in small group settings, leading ensembles of sacred and secular music, and performing basic maintenance on drums, guitars and ukuleles.

Some experience with sound equipment is advantageous, and you will support student ensembles during class, breaks and after school. This ongoing position begins in Term 1, 2027, with a peaceful semi-rural location and a culture of support and growth.

Seventh-dayAdventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Tutor to join the team at Gilson College. This is an ongoing part-time (3 days) position commencing Term 1, 2027.

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

• Can teach students in small group lesson environments.
• Leading ensembles in a variety of sacred and secular music.
• Performing school-based maintenance and repairs of drums, guitars, and ukuleles.
• Some experience with sound equipment and mixing desks is advantageous.
• Supporting student ensembles through rehearsals and performances, including during class time, break times, and after school as per the ensemble rehearsal schedule.
  
• Performing school-based maintenance and repairs of drums, guitars, and ukuleles.
• Maintaining and sourcing student resources.
• Supporting students through their VCE Music Programs as needed.
• Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
