St. Andrew’s Christian School (STACS) is a growing Preparatory to Year 12 coeducational school in a rural setting situated close to Grafton in the beautiful Clarence Valley. The Valley boasts an extensive river system, proximity to pristine beaches, World Heritage Rainforests and beautiful national parks. The region provides excellent opportunities for sports, families and lifestyle.

We are seeking a motivated Christian Music Teacher to join a supportive and collaborative staff who provide a quality education in the STACS community.

St. Andrew’s Christian School is a well-resourced school which provides quality Christian education for children from both Christian and non-Christian families with proven results in literacy and numeracy and opportunities for a broad range of subjects and experiences.

Key responsibilities and position description:

The School is seeking a 0.8 Permanent Part Time Music teacher to join STACS in 2026, to teach music across Primary and Secondary School. The successful candidate will be an exceptional educator, who is highly motivated to support STACS to maintain and develop learning and innovation, ensure continued academic achievement and inspire, engage and value every student.

  • • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students to enhance student knowledge and understanding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

  • Proficient administrative skills, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to utilise data to enhance students’ learning.

  • A high standard of proficiency, competency and enthusiasm as a classroom teacher.
  • Experience in teaching Music for Primary School and Stages 4, 5 & 6.
  • Experienced in leading ensembles/choir.
  • Willingness to teach within another subject area.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and the ability to deliver effective pedagogy in an innovative and engaging manner.
  • Experienced in establishing priorities and goals for the department.

Develop innovative lesson plans that integrate biblical truth to the senior student body. Teach a dual curriculum in both Mathematics and Music through engaging instruction that fosters a positive, respectful and focused classroom culture.

This is a part-time position to commence in January 2026 with induction.

Recent or current University Graduates are encouraged to apply for this position.
