East Arnhem Regional Council seeks a Municipal Services Supervisor to lead the delivery of essential municipal services in Ramingining, NT. This hands-on role is part of the Council Services team, ensuring safe, compliant and well-maintained community infrastructure and spaces.

You will oversee waste management, roads maintenance, and grounds upkeep while ensuring WHS compliance and staff development. Remote community experience is valued.

Qualifikationen

• Tertiary qualifications or substantial experience in municipal services, civil works, waste management or similar operational environments.
• Current MR driver licence and relevant plant competencies (backhoe, skid steer or loader) with ability to drive manual vehicles in remote conditions.
• Experience supervising teams and delivering operational services in local government or similar setting.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a resource-constrained environment.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety and ability to implement safe systems of work.
• Experience working in or with remote communities and understanding community-based service delivery.

Aufgaben

• Ensure work plans, waste initiatives and public area inspections are conducted and outcomes reported as required.
• Comply with WHS policies, procedures and legislation to maintain a safe workplace.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Council Services Manager.

This hands‑on role sits within the Council Services team and plays a key part in keeping community infrastructure, public spaces and waste services safe, compliant and well maintained. What you’ll do:

What we’re looking for:

What you’ll receive as a full‑time permanent employee:

• A competitive salary (Level 6) $96,200.42 - $102,058.97 per year, excluding super, with annual reviews under the Enterprise Agreement
• 6 weeks of annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading
• A generous Locality Allowance, along with an outdoor allowance and subsidised housing at $75 per week to support living in remote East Arnhem communities
• Relocation and repatriation support for the role
• Ongoing professional development opportunities, including training and study support, within a strong, diverse, community‑focused environment

Employment is subject to a Criminal History Check and NT Working with Children Clearance. Travel to remote communities may be required.
