Job summary

Optus in Sydney is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to lead governance, control and improvements of inventory across Optus Networks’ assets. You will oversee stock across facilities, distribution centres and partner locations to ensure accuracy, availability and compliance for network operations and business continuity.

You will manage a blended team of permanent and contract Inventory Controllers, drive cycle counting, stocktakes and practical corrective actions, and partner

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in inventory control or related field.
• Experience managing inventory held by third-party providers and multi-location assets.
• Strong understanding of stock movements, reconciliation, cycle counting and variances.
• Experience implementing ERP or WMS systems and reporting.
• Proven leadership of blended teams of permanent staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end inventory management across multiple locations.
• Establish inventory control standards and operating disciplines.
• Govern inventory movements and ensure proper authorization.
• Improve inventory accuracy, visibility and record integrity.
• Lead annual stocktake program and resolve variances.
• Drive adoption of inventory processes with IT and process owners.
• Lead and develop a blended team of inventory controllers.
