Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd seeks a Multiple Principal Software Engineer to lead full-stack development in a critical Australian Government web application using .NET Core, Angular, SQL Server and Azure DevOps.

You will design, implement and optimize interfaces and APIs, mentor teams, and drive quality through CI/CD pipelines, testing and code reviews in a Canberra-based, security-cleared environment. This 12-month contract offers a challenging opportunity with potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ Senior .NET development experience with C#, ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.
• Strong Angular, TypeScript, CSS and SQL Server development experience.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging and enterprise patterns including CQRS, Mediator and Repository.
• Experience managing and enhancing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Octopus Deploy or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Angular user interfaces and .NET Core Web API applications.
• Maintain and enhance SQL Server databases supporting critical enterprise applications.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex bugs, enhancements and production issues.
• Deliver quality solutions through testing, peer code reviews, Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Lead full-stack development and technical problem-solving across a critical enterprise web application, working with .NET Core, Angular, SQL Server and Azure DevOps in a complex Australian Government environment.

Location : ACT

Contract Duration: 12 months with possible 2 x 12-month extensions

Security Clearance Requirement: NV2
