Job summary

The Recruitment Hive Pty Ltd is seeking Drupal developers for a Federal Government department in Civic, ACT. You will design, develop and maintain Drupal sites and applications, ensuring security, accessibility and quality across projects.

Work in Agile teams, implement upgrades and security patches, and contribute to documentation throughout the SDLC. This Canberra-based role focuses on scalable, secure, WCAG-compliant solutions with modernization of Drupal ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Experience developing, supporting and maintaining Drupal websites and applications, including customization, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively in Agile delivery teams.
• Knowledge of Drupal security, secure coding practices, web application security and modern DevOps or CI/CD methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis.
• Produce software design and architecture.
• Design, develop, configure and maintain Drupal-based websites and applications.
• Configure and manage Drupal content types, views, taxonomies, workflows and permissions.
• Write clean, maintainable and scalable code following departmental standards and practices.
• Test and deploy applications and systems.
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
• Develop documentation throughout the SDLC.
• Perform Drupal core and module upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Manage vulnerabilities and ensure timely application of security updates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, security vulnerabilities and performance issues.
• Support security assessments, penetration testing and remediation activities.
• Develop solutions that comply with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards to improve user experience and usability.
