Job summary

The Living Company in Sydney is seeking a Multimedia Designer to craft graphics, video content and assets across Scape, Aveo, RTL Co. and TLC brands, ensuring each brand remains distinctive while upholding high design standards.

You’ll balance polished Canva work with fast social edits, explore AI-powered tools, and collaborate with marketing teams to meet briefs, timelines, and capacity while growing your creative skillset.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in graphic design, multimedia design or content creation.
• Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, plus Canva.
• Portfolio across campaigns, print and video.
• Experience with multiple brand guidelines will be highly regarded.
• Video editing experience with Premiere Pro and After Effects; interest in AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Create graphics, layouts and digital assets across Scape, Aveo, RTL Co. and TLC brands.
• Edit short-form video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts using Premiere Pro.
• Build Canva templates with locked fonts, colours and asset boundaries to keep brands consistent.
• Run your design queue across three brands, prioritising against deadlines.
• Organise assets in Bynder with Marketing Ops to enable quick asset retrieval.
• Clarify briefs with teams and maintain strong working relationships.

Founded in 2013 as Scape Australia, leaders in student housing, we’ve since grown into a vertically integrated living platform known as The Living Company; managing $18B in assets across Student Living (Scape), Rent to Live – Affordable Housing (RTL Co.), and Retirement Living (Aveo); spanning site origination, investment, planning, design, development, construction, and operations. THE ROLE

Love making things look great? We’re looking for a Multimedia Designer to produce graphic designs, creative assets and video content across our three brands, ensuring each brand’s identity is distinct while reinforcing TLC’s standard of quality. Some days are polished design work in Canva, and others are fast social and campaign edits. We’re interested in AI, and we’d like you to be too. No two days are the same.

DAY TO DAY

• Creating graphics, layouts and digital assets across Scape, Aveo, RTL Co. and The Living Company, tailoring your work to each brand's identity and audience.
• Editing short-form video for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, plus campaign content and longer brand promos, in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Building Canva templates with locked fonts, colours and asset boundaries, so non-designers can make their own versions and stay on brand.
• Running your own design queue across three brands, prioritising against deadlines and flagging capacity early.
• Working with the Marketing Operations Specialist to tag and organise files in Bynder, so everyone can find the right asset quickly.
• Talking directly with the teams who send you briefs: clarifying what they need, agreeing timelines and building good working relationships.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 3–5 years’ experience in graphic design, multimedia design, motion design or content creation, ideally in-house or agency-side.
• Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, plus hands-on experience in Canva.
• A portfolio showcasing your creative range across campaigns, presentations, print and video. Experience working across multiple brand guidelines will be highly regarded.
• Video editing experience, ideally using Premiere Pro and After Effects, with an interest in exploring AI and emerging creative tools.
• A proactive, adaptable approach, with a strong creative eye, an interest in design trends and the initiative to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to take briefs from non-creative stakeholders, clarify requirements and build positive working relationships.
