Job summary

Recruit4staff is seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing operation in Liverpool. You will perform reactive maintenance on production equipment, including filling and packaging lines, with focus on reliability and downtime reduction.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, permanent with a discretionary bonus and strong benefits package including life assurance, BUPA cover and enhanced pension, plus 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Multiskilled maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to diagnose faults on production equipment.
• Experience with vibration analysis and ultrasound techniques.
• Level 3 Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics qualification.
• Ability to perform PLC and HMI diagnostic checks.
• Proactive fault identification to improve reliability.
• Root cause analysis experience.
• Condition monitoring experience.
• Experience using SAP.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance and repair of production equipment, including powder filling systems, packaging lines, mixing vessels and general process equipment.
• Investigate underperforming equipment and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Conduct condition monitoring and PLC/HMI diagnostics, then troubleshoot to restore performance.

Job Role:

As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance and repair of production equipment, including powder filling systems, packaging lines, mixing vessels and general process equipment. The Engineering Technician will investigate underperforming equipment and implement corrective actions, working closely with internal departments to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability. The role will also involve condition monitoring, first-line PLC and HMI diagnostic checks and subsequent troubleshooting.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

• Previous multiskilled maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment, maintenance or similar engineering role
• Diagnosing faults
• Experience of vibration analysis and ultrasound techniques
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics
• Ability to carry out first-line PLC and HMI diagnostic checks and troubleshooting
• The Maintenance Technician will require a proactive approach to identifying equipment faults and improving reliability
