Banyule City Council in Melbourne is seeking a Drainage & Roads Maintenance Officer (Multi-Skilled Operator) to deliver road, drainage and footpath maintenance while operating plant and equipment.

You will work in a team with a strong safety culture, follow OH&S practices, and contribute to maintaining community infrastructure with diverse daily tasks. Experience in road infrastructure and crane operation is preferred; Front end loader/backhoe and forklift licenses are required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in Road Infrastructure, Drainage and Cleansing maintenance activities.
• Experience in the safe and competent operation of vehicles and plant.
• Knowledge of traffic control requirements as to placement of warning signs, barriers and lights.
• Knowledge of the safety requirements associated with working in confined spaces.
• Experience in the use of light hydraulic cranes.
• The ability to work in a team environment, take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• License to operate front end loader/backhoe and forklift

Aufgaben

• Deliver infrastructure maintenance: Carry out road, drainage, footpath and general civil maintenance tasks safely, efficiently and to required standards.
• Operate plant and equipment safely: Use Council vehicles, machinery and tools competently, ensuring safety, care of assets and compliance with OH&S requirements.
• Support service delivery and teamwork: Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew, communicate effectively, maintain records, and contribute to a safe, customer‑focused operational environment.
