Job summary

YMCA Housing is seeking a Maintenance Caretaker to perform routine and preventative maintenance across properties and to carry out general caretaker tasks. The role covers sites in Nerang, Southport and Slacks Creek with regular travel between locations.

You will coordinate approved external tradespeople for work outside the role’s scope, and ensure timely maintenance responses and safety compliance. This position emphasizes documentation and collaboration with the Housing Co-ordinator.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance across YMCA Housing properties.
• Carry out general caretaker functions and minor repairs within approved scope.
• Coordinate approved external tradespeople or contractors for work outside the role scope.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, inspections and contractor attendance.
