Job summary

YMCA Housing undertakes routine and preventative maintenance across multiple properties in South East Queensland. The Maintenance Caretaker role includes site visits to Nerang, Southport and Slacks Creek, with regular travel between sites and after-hours responsibilities as directed.

The role covers preventative maintenance, minor repairs, janitorial relief, and coordinating external tradespeople under the guidance of the Housing Co-ordinator to keep housing complexes safe and well-presented.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance and building upkeep.
• Ability to travel between sites as a requirement of the role.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance and property inspections.
• Perform routine minor repairs within your scope and escalate trades as needed.
• Coordinate external tradespeople and contractors with the Housing Co-ordinator.
• Provide minor janitorial relief and general caretaker tasks.
