Job summary

Contemporary Catering is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee catering operations across multiple sites within our Victorian team. You will lead site-based teams, predominantly Melbourne metro based, ensuring service excellence, delivering a high-level hospitality service model and maintaining compliance with food safety and WHS standards.

This is a hands-on role that supports teams on the ground and ensures smooth, consistent operations, with leading by example as a core

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of site-based teams in catering/hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and WHS in high-risk environments.
• Experience delivering service excellence across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site-based catering teams across multiple locations.
• Ensure correct staffing, rosters, and labour budgets.
• Recruit key roles to support business needs.
• Coach, train, and give regular feedback to staff.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality, meal quality and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS requirements.
• Conduct site visits and audits; escalate operational issues.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvements.
