Job summary

Transport for NSW in Glen Innes seeks an experienced MR General Truck Driver to support maintenance and road construction across the New England district. You will operate Light/Medium Rigid vehicles (>4.5t GVM), tow trailers, and perform general road worker labouring duties when not driving.

Applicants must reside within 100km of the Glen Innes depot and hold a Construction Industry White Card, with commitment to safety and fatigue management in high-traffic environments.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Light and Medium Rigid vehicles with GVM >4.5 tonnes.
• Able to perform road worker labouring duties when not driving.
• Commitment to safety, fatigue management and WHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate MR trucks (Light/Medium Rigids) for Maintenance & Delivery work.
• Tow any trailers the vehicle is rated to tow.
• Carry out general road worker labouring duties as Road Worker Grade 3.
• Trucks may include water tankers; support day-to-day operations with Team Leaders/Supervisors.
• Maintain WHS compliance and safe work practices in high-traffic environments.
• Collaborate with team to resolve issues and ensure project progress.
