Job summary

Transport For NSW is seeking an experienced MR Truck Driver for the Russell Vale Maintenance team. This permanent full-time on-site role requires operating Light and Medium Rigid vehicles with a crane, participating in road-related labour tasks, and working both independently and with a crew.

You will follow WHS and environmental guidelines, deliver safe, quality work, and uphold a strong team culture in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• MR Truck Driver with valid MR license and ability to operate rigid vehicles with a crane
• Current Construction Industry White Card
• Traffic control certification (Traffic Controller/Implement Traffic Control)

Responsibilities

• Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (GVM >4.5 tonnes with crane) for Russell Vale Maintenance team.
• Perform road worker labouring tasks and operate small plant, solo or with crew, following WHS and environmental guidelines.
• Deliver safe, quality work, manage site challenges, and foster a strong team culture in a fast-paced field environment.
• Permanent role based out of Russell Vale with day and night shifts.
• Candidates within 100 km radius or willing to relocate to Russell Vale will be considered.
• Demonstrate safe operation around heavy vehicles and machinery, adhering to site procedures and ensuring first-time quality.

In this role, you'll:

Operate the Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes and with a fitted crane) for the Russell Vale Maintenance team.

Get hands-on with a mix of Road Worker labouring tasks and small plant. You’ll work both on your own and with the road maintenance crew, follow WHS and environmental guidelines and proactively handle day-to-day issues as they arise.

You will deliver safe, quality work, navigate everyday site challenges, and build a strong team culture in a practical, fast-paced field environment.

This is a permanent role based out of Russell Vale where you will work a combination of day and night shift.

You will reside within a 100 km radius to the Russell Vale depot or be willing to relocate

We are looking for an experienced MR Truck Driver who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a fast-paced work environment. You will be well versed in the Chain of Responsibility, (COR), with experience in heavy haulage.

You're experienced working safely around heavy vehicles and machinery, following site procedures, and taking pride in getting the job done right the first time.

You have:

• Current Construction Industry White Card
• Traffic control certification (Traffic Controller / Implement Traffic Control)
• Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed
