Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced MR Truck Driver for the Bridge Maintenance team in Bega. The role involves operating heavy vehicles, performing labouring tasks, and supporting other trades in maintaining timber, steel and concrete bridges across the district.

You may work with water tankers, Flocon trucks, or a truck-mounted crane, and will camp and travel as required. A strong safety record and proper licences are essential.

Qualifications

• Essential licences and tickets required to operate MR trucks in civil works.
• Experience in labouring or manual handling is advantageous.
• Knowledge of local road networks across the district is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate MR trucks (GVM >4.5 t) as part of the Bridge Maintenance team in Bega.
• Undertake labouring and manual handling for bridges and culverts when not driving.
• Assist other trades, maintain timber/steel/concrete bridges, and assist with painting.
• May operate water tankers, Flocon trucks, HIAB or similar crane.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders/Works Supervisors to manage daily tasks and resolve issues.
• Be prepared to camp and travel across the region as required.
• Adhere to WHS policies and safe work standards.
• Work a 9 Day Fortnight.
