Job summary

WorkPac is partnering with a leading global provider of commercial explosives and blasting systems to recruit MPU Trainees for sites across the Hunter Valley. This role offers full training and a clear career pathway into the mining and explosives sector.

You will assist with operation of Mobile Processing Units, support the blast crew, and learn through hands-on training while obtaining necessary licences. A current C Class Driver’s Licence is required, with safety and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Ability to pass a 045 Coal Board Medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing
• Strong commitment to safety and a willingness to learn
• Must be willing to obtain at own cost: HR Licence and UHL (Explosives) Licence

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the operation of Mobile Processing Units (MPU) on mine sites
• Supporting the blast crew with safe and timely delivery of bulk explosives
• Following all site safety procedures and protocols
• Participating in training to obtain required licences and competencies
• Working a rotating day shift roster
