Job summary

HRG is seeking MOTOTRBO & Telecommunications Technicians to support mining and resources sites across the Bowen Basin from Mackay, Queensland.

You’ll install, configure and fault-find MOTOTRBO, two-way radios, RF systems and related network infrastructure, with travel to multiple sites and the option to relocate if needed. This permanent role offers strong earnings and ongoing technical development.

Qualifications

• Experience with MOTOTRBO, radio systems and RF equipment.
• Telecommunications or electronics qualification.
• Australian driver's licence and White Card required.
• Cabling registration, Working at Heights and mine site exposure are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission MOTOTRBO, two-way radio systems and related infrastructure.
• Carry out maintenance, fault finding and repairs across RF equipment, cabling and network hardware.
• Support upgrades and new installations across mining sites in the Bowen Basin.

What You'll Be Doing

• Install, configure and commission MOTOTRBO, two-way radio systems, vehicle-mounted communications equipment, antennas and associated infrastructure.
• Carry out maintenance, testing, fault finding and repairs across RF equipment, fibre, copper and coaxial cabling, network hardware and supporting power systems.
• Support communications upgrades and new installations across mining and industrial sites, working with engineering and field teams to keep systems operating reliably.

What Will Make You Successful

• Experience as a Telecommunications Technician, Radio Technician or Field Service Technician, ideally with exposure to MOTOTRBO, DMR, RF or wireless communications.
• A relevant telecommunications or electronics qualification, Australian driver's licence and White Card. Cabling registration, Working at Heights and mine site experience are highly regarded.
• Strong hands-on fault-finding skills, a practical approach to site work and willingness to travel throughout Mackay, the Bowen Basin and surrounding regions.
