Job summary

Australia Post is seeking a Motorcycle Delivery Driver to join our delivery team in Townsville on a fixed-term full-time basis for 12 months.

You’ll start at the facility each morning, complete vehicle safety checks, and deliver mail and parcels to homes and businesses with care. You’ll work Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 2:21pm, supported by Rider Mentors and a safety‑minded culture that prioritises wellbeing and growth.

Qualifications

• Hold a full or probationary motorcycle licence.
• Able to pass riding assessments and meet safety standards (≤100 kg).
• Flexible to work additional hours to support service outcomes.
• Reliable and detail‑focused, able to handle mail and parcels up to 16 kg.
• Keen to learn and grow with pathways into senior delivery or mentoring roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mail and small parcels at the facility before heading out to deliver.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and load deliveries with care.
• Deliver to homes and businesses with reliability and safety at the forefront.
• Work with Rider Mentors to build confidence, capability and consistency.
• Support the team with a positive, safety‑driven delivery culture.

About the opportunity

In this role, you’ll begin each day early as part of a supportive delivery team, preparing mail and small parcels at the facility before heading out to deliver to homes and businesses. You’ll complete daily vehicle safety checks, load your deliveries with care, and carry out reliable deliveries, with safety and consistency guiding every step.

You’ll be supported by experienced Rider Mentors who provide hands‑on guidance and coaching, helping you build confidence, capability and consistency in the role. This opportunity suits someone who takes pride in delivering strong outcomes, values teamwork and safety, and is motivated to perform at their best every day while building skills for long‑term success.

About you
