Job summary

BLR Enterprises Pty Ltd Trading as Star Automotive And Smash Repairs in Melbourne is seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic (General) for a full-time role at their Tullamarine workshop.

The successful candidate will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, repair or replace worn parts, perform routine maintenance, and assist with breakdown service calls as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in relevant Mechanical / Automotive field.
• At least three (3) year of relevant work experience as Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, referencing service manuals as needed.
• Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to ensure smoother running and compliance with pollution regulations.
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair for proper performance.
• Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers; respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.

Education

Certificate III in Mechanical / Automotive field

Certificate IV in Mechanical / Automotive field

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join their team located in Tullamarine, Victoria.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
