Job summary

PROMISE SERVICES PTY LTD – Rockhampton is seeking a dedicated Motor Mechanic to join their busy workshop in Rockhampton QLD. You will diagnose, service and repair light vehicles, using computerised diagnostic equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship.

The role requires strong practical mechanical knowledge and the ability to work independently as part of a team, maintaining safety and efficiency in a busy automotive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or AQF Certificate IV, or 3+ years of relevant automotive experience.
• Registration or licensing may be required where applicable to the work undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in engines and mechanical components.
• Dismantle and inspect engine assemblies and transmissions.
• Repair and replace worn or defective parts following specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Test repaired systems and verify correct operation after repairs.
