Job summary

Maatouks Tyrepower Belmore is seeking a reliable motor mechanic to join their team in Belmore, NSW. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, removing engines and assemblies for inspection, and performing repairs to meet manufacturer specs and safety standards.

Responsibilities include scheduled servicing, engine rebuilds, and testing repaired components using diagnostic tools. AQF Certificate III is required with at least two years of on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Automotive or equivalent with on-the-job training.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills required.
• Ability to diagnose electrical and engine system faults.

Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues affecting engines, systems and components.
• Remove and dismantle engines, transmissions, steering systems and other assemblies for inspection.
• Repair or replace damaged components and reassemble systems per specs and manuals.
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance to meet emission requirements.
• Rebuild and reinstall engines and related components after repairs.
• Test, adjust and calibrate repaired components to ensure proper operation.
• Use computer-based diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and necessary repairs to meet safety standards.
• Attend breakdowns and provide diagnostic and repair assistance when required.
