Orange City Council is seeking a Workshop Mechanic to service and repair its plant, equipment and vehicle fleet, from heavy vehicles to small plant items. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will perform mechanical duties across multiple workshop lines.

You should hold a Motor Vehicle Tradesperson’s Certificate and a valid licence, plus White Card, with experience in welding and fabrication. A driver’s licence is required and flexible working arrangements are available.

Formación

• Experience in repairing and maintaining a diverse heavy plant and commercial vehicle fleet.
• Welding and fabrication skills applicable to multiple equipment types.
• Compliance with motor vehicle licences and safety cards as listed.

Weekly Hours: 38 (flexible working arrangements available)

Weekly Salary: $1,360 - $1,482 (plus superannuation)

About the Role:

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this position will provide mechanical services involving the repair, servicing and maintenance of Council’s plant, equipment and vehicle fleet; from heavy vehicle to small plant items.

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Experience in a similar role including the repair and maintenance of a diverse heavy plant and commercial vehicle fleet,welding and fabrication
• Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Licence (automotive electrician or motor mechanic or similar)
• Motor Vehicle Tradesperson’s Certificate
• Current Driver’s Licence
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
