Job summary

N.K.Sharma Pty Ltd in Broadmeadow is seeking an experienced motor mechanic for a full-time role (38 hours per week) with superannuation on top of the salary. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a range of vehicles in a well-equipped workshop, using diagnostic tools to identify issues and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, a Certificate III/IV in Light Vehicle or equivalent, and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant role.
• Certificate III/IV in Light Vehicle Automotive Management and Diagnosis or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks and tyres.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.
• Repair or replace belts, hoses and other mechanical assemblies.
• Use diagnostic tools to pinpoint and resolve vehicle issues.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed correctly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

We are looking for an experienced motor mechanic to join our team in Broadmeadow. This is a full-time role of 38 hours per week, with applicable superannuation on top of the salary. You will diagnose, repair and maintain various types of vehicles.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks and tyres
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify potential issues
• Repair or replace belts, hoses and other mechanical assemblies
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint and resolve vehicle issues
• Fit, rotate and service tyres
• Where required, inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates, or identify and document the work required to achieve roadworthiness
• Provide advice and report potentially dangerous risks found on customer vehicles
• Maintain records
• Test drive vehicles to ensure all repairs are completed accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Duties are not limited to those listed above.

About you

• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant role
• Experience with engine systems, logbook servicing and basic to advanced diagnostic tools
• Certificate III and IV in Light Vehicle Automotive Management and Diagnosis, or three years of experience in lieu of the qualification
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems
• Good problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid driver's licence
