Job summary

Employer Sponsored Jobs is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic in South Australia to join a full-time workshop team. You will service and diagnose European vehicles, working across premium brands with attention to safety and quality standards.

The role focuses on complex diagnostics, mechanical and electrical repairs, and maintaining vehicle performance. A trade qualification and 3+ years' experience with European brands are expected, with a current driver’s license and a willingness to work

Qualifications

• Recognised automotive mechanical trade qualification or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Proven hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing and repairing European vehicles.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capabilities.
• Practical experience using automotive scan tools and computerised diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to independently identify faults and complete repairs.
• Experience with European brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Volvo, Land Rover will be highly regarded.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and manufacturer information.
• Good English communication skills.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to work full-time in South Australia.

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive servicing, diagnosis and repair of European vehicles.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across vehicle systems.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering and suspension components.
• Inspect engines, transmissions and other major components for wear, damage and faults.
• Remove, repair, replace and reinstall defective mechanical components.
• Completescheduled servicing and preventative maintenance requirements.
• Perform oil and filter changes, fluid replacement, lubrication and brake servicing.
• Carry out engine tune-ups and other routine mechanical repairs.
• Use advanced diagnostics scanners and computerised equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Interpret diagnostic fault codes, wiring diagrams and manufacturer technical information.
• Follow manufacturer-recommended repair and service procedures.
• Test vehicle systems and components following repairs.
• Conduct road testing and final inspections to confirm vehicle performance.
• Maintain clear and accurate service, repair and diagnostic records.
• Ensure all workshop activities comply with safety procedures and quality standards.
