Job summary

AAMC in Melbourne offers a comprehensive 2-year training program that covers all aspects of motor loss assessing. After successful completion you will earn a Certificate IV in Vehicle Loss Assessment at no cost. Applicants must be trade qualified in an automotive discipline; prior assessing experience isn't essential—just a strong technical foundation and a willingness to learn.

The role targets candidates in metro Sydney or metro Melbourne. During training you’ll mostly work from a home office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and prepare detailed assessment reports.
• Negotiate, monitor, and communicate outcomes to clients and claimants.
• Manage relationships with repairers.
• Control client costs in line with business requirements.
• Calculate vehicle values in line with industry guidelines.
• Undertake local and regional travel as required.
