Job summary

RAC WA, a premier member organisation in Western Australia, is seeking a Lead Specialist - Motor Claims to guide and coach a team of Motor Claims Specialists within our Insurance division. You will support the Team Leader, oversee complex motor claims, and ensure compassionate, professional service for members throughout the claims lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in an operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex processes clearly.
• Empathy, resilience and discretion when supporting members under stress.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced claims environment.
• Experience in insurance claims handling, ideally motor claims.
• Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop the Motor Claims team to ensure consistent claim outcomes.
• Handle complex motor claims and support members throughout the lifecycle.
• Deliver high-quality service balancing empathy with performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for timely and cost-effective repairs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and member experience.
• Provide feedback and insights to support team performance.
