Cafe on the Hilltop in Ipswich, QLD, seeks a passionate Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. You will work with our Head Chef to prepare and present high-quality dishes, while upholding food safety standards.

Ideal candidates have formal culinary training or equivalent cafe experience, 3+ years cooking, and a strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety. Start ASAP with 6am–2:30pm shifts, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Formal culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience in hospitality.
• 3+ years cooking in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP.
• Proficiency in a wide range of cooking techniques.
• Creative flair and passion for food.
• Reliable and flexible with shift patterns, including weekends.
• Current Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Manage food preparation stations and ensure equipment is cleaned and sanitized.
• Oversee stock rotation, inventory management and ordering of food supplies.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP principles.
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
