Job summary

VeiraMal Consulting is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join Montessori Works Beach Babies in Maroubra. The role focuses on planning, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs that support learning, development and wellbeing of young children.

Responsibilities include creating safe, inclusive indoor/outdoor learning environments, observing progress, communicating with parents, and applying Montessori practices where relevant.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Experience working with young children in early childhood setting.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices.
• Understanding of Montessori principles and their application in learning environments.
• Montessori training or experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy and commitment to children's development.
• Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate engaging activities.
• Ability to observe, assess and document progress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR if not current.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs for young children.
• Structure indoor and outdoor activities using varied materials and equipment.
• Support language, cognitive, social and physical development.
• Observe and document children's progress and communicate with families.
• Ensure safety, health, welfare and inclusive learning environments.
• Incorporate Montessori principles when applicable.
• Engage with parents, staff and stakeholders in meetings.
