Job summary

NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) is seeking an Assistant Coach, Mogul Skiing to lead and support the development of scholarship athletes within a world-class program. Reporting to the Head Coach, Mogul Skiing, you will plan, coordinate and deliver a comprehensive training regime and competition calendar to drive sustained international success.

Qualifications

• You will bring to our team: long-term periodised plan to develop talent / emerging international athletes
• Experience in international/domestic high performance sport environments
• Knowledge of international high performance best practice and trends in coaching technique, skill development, program growth and holistic development
• Ability to build and drive partnerships to achieve shared high performance outcomes
• Understanding the levers for high performance to achieve national/international success
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Coaching, Sport Science, or similar)
• Awareness of contemporary issues relating to athletes in high performance sport (mental health, wellbeing, social issues)
• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain prior to working with us.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planning, coordination and delivery of the NSWIS Mogul Skiing program.
• Support daily training environments and competition campaigns.
• Contribute to athlete development initiatives and high performance outcomes.
• Act as an ambassador for NSWIS values and behaviours and build strong relationships.
• Engage with partners and stakeholders to support program growth.
