Job summary

Commerce Building Services is seeking a software developer to design, test and implement new programs. You will work on both client-side and server-side TypeScript, extend WebViews with native code, and integrate with SQL databases.

You will analyze requirements, write efficient code, perform unit testing, and assist with root-cause analysis of issues. The role involves occasional technical support and collaboration with an experienced team.

Qualifications

• Mobile development experience (Preferably extending WebViews with native code)
• Database skills (MSSQL, other SQL database experience is fine)
• Familiarity with server / command line environments
• Strong skills in TypeScript, both for client-side and server environments
• Good knowledge of internet protocols and standards
• Basic GIT usage
• Familiarity with AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.).
• Experience with media streaming, routing, storage, and processing from user devices (webcam, audio, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and implement new software programs
• Design and update and configure software tools.
• Clearly and regularly communicate with management and provide technical support colleagues
• Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• Independently install, customize and integrate commercial software packages
• Writing and implementing efficient code.
• Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues
• Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
• Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
• Resolve complex technical design issues
• Internal system administration and maintenance.
• Occasional technical support requests.
• Development of technical specifications and plans
• Analyse user requirements and convert requirements to design documents
• Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
• Data management, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including reporting anddata visualization.
