Job summary

Plena Healthcare is seeking an adult-servicing Speech Pathologist to join our mobile team. You will provide dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions for adults in residential aged care and the community, with flexibility on hours and locations.

Reporting to the state Speech Pathology Team Leader, you’ll access extensive resources, clinical supervision, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with active SPA membership.
• Driver's license and reliable transport required.
• Willingness to travel nationally to regional locations.

Responsibilities

• Managing your calendar of appointments – flexible hours and locations.
• Assessing and diagnosing swallowing and communication difficulties.
• Potential for national travel to support clients in regional locations.
• Provision of telehealth-based dysphagia and/or communication assessment and intervention.
• Liaison with the national team of Speech Pathologists.
• Advocating for support for clients with communication difficulties.
• Collaborating with staff, coordinators and Plena colleagues to ensure optimum care.
• Providing consultative and educational support to clients, families and colleagues.
