Job summary

Plena Healthcare is seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our team of mobile clinicians servicing adults in residential aged care and the community. You will handle dysphagia and communication assessments and interventions, with flexibility in hours and locations.

Open to recent graduates and experienced clinicians, with opportunities for professional development and national travel as needed. Casual position (1 day a week) in Tamworth, NSW, with potential contractor options.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Speech Pathology with active membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Ability to travel to clients in residential aged care facilities and community.

Responsibilities

• Manage calendar of appointments with flexible hours and locations.
• Assess and diagnose swallowing and communication difficulties.
• Potential for national travel to regional locations.
• Provide telehealth-based assessments/interventions.
• Liaise with national team of Speech Pathologists.
• Advocate for clients with communication difficulties.
• Collaborate with staff and carers to ensure optimum care.
• Provide consultative and educational support to clients and families.
