Job summary

Job Connect Recruitment is seeking a hands-on HR Trucklicenced Serviceperson to join a busy industrial operation in the Ripley area. You’ll assist with routine plant maintenance, drive the service truck, and keep equipment serviced and ready for operation.

No trade qualification is required; practical mechanical experience is valued. Expect early starts (typically 5am), 8–10 hour days, and potential Saturday overtime, with a large global organisation prioritising safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience in industrial, workshop or plant environments.
• HR open licence
• Basic understanding of machinery, tools and routine maintenance.
• Willingness to undertake physical work and work around heavy equipment.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious approach and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliability and punctuality, particularly with early starts.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Driving the service truck and refuelling mobile plant and machinery to keep equipment ready for operation.
• Greasing machinery and completing routine preventative maintenance.
• Changing air filters and carrying out general servicing tasks.
• Blowing out radiators to help keep equipment clean and operating efficiently.
• Assisting Mechanics with workshop tasks and maintenance activities.
• Collecting spare parts and materials from suppliers when required.
• Keeping the workshop and surrounding work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Following site procedures to ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
