Here’s your chance to turn your interest in mechanics into a hands-on career, learning how to service, maintain and repair forklifts and heavy-duty container-handling machinery.

We’re looking for a keen and motivated 1st Year Plant Mechanic Apprentice who’s ready to learn from experienced mechanics, get stuck into the work and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

If you’re a school leaver, a car enthusiast or someone who enjoys pulling things apart to work out how they work, this could be the perfect opportunity to get your mechanical career moving!

ð§ What Will You Be Working On?

You’ll learn to maintain and repair a range of equipment, including standard forklifts and large container-lifting forklifts used to handle heavy loads in demanding industrial environments.

As your skills develop, you’ll learn how to:

• Service and maintain forklifts and heavy-duty lifting equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and troubleshoot problems.
• Work on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and mechanical components.
• Carry out inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Use workshop tools, diagnostic equipment and specialised machinery.
• Identify faults, assist with repairs and help keep equipment operating safely.
• Read technical information and develop your mechanical problem-solving skills.

From everyday forklifts to impressive container-lifting machines, you’ll gain experience with equipment that keeps industry and logistics moving.
