Job summary

BlueScope Building Components is seeking a full-time, permanent Mobile Mill Technician to join the National Operations and Supply Chain team based in Gillman, South Australia. You will operate a Mobile Mill at customer sites across Australia, performing setup, production, and site coordination while ensuring safety and quality.

You'll travel as needed, interact with customers and site contacts, and work Monday to Friday, 6:30 am - 2:30 pm at the Gillman site when not travelling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production/manufacturing experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic fitting knowledge.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication with customers and site contacts.
• Emphasis on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Mobile Mill and related equipment at customer sites.
• Coordinate coil deliveries for production and prepare equipment.
• Manufacture long-length steel roofing products on site.
• Carry out quality checks and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to keep projects moving.
• Travel across Australia and work with customers and installers.
