Job summary

Westgold Resources invites applications for a permanent, full-time Maintenance Planner at the Bluebird Underground Gold Mine near Meekatharra, WA. You will plan and coordinate maintenance of mining equipment and infrastructure, develop maintenance strategies, and work with Senior Maintenance Planners to keep assets safe, reliable and cost-effective.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in mechanical maintenance in underground mining, 2 years in a maintenance planning role, a current WA

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ mechanical maintenance experience in an underground mining environment.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planner role or similar role.
• Current Western Australian C class manual driver’s licence.
• Valid trade qualifications and licences.
• Experience with CMMS such as Pronto (desired).
• Proficient MS Office skills and general computer literacy.
• Strong experience with controlling maintenance costs and expenses.
• Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the maintenance of all Bluebird mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop maintenance strategies, and schedule, coordinate, and monitor maintenance of all mobile and fixed plant equipment.
• Work with the Senior Maintenance Planners to safely, efficiently and cost effectively maintain all assets.
• Organise schedules and work orders for the mobile maintenance team.
• Organise parts and labour needed in a timely manner for future works, contractor labour and offsite repairs to minimise disruption to mining operations.
• Analyze the risk of equipment failure, undertake performance measurement and ensure that maintenance costs are kept as low as possible.

THE ROLE

• Plan and coordinate the maintenance of all Bluebird mining equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop maintenance strategies, as well as schedule, coordinate, and monitor the maintenance of all mobile and fixed plant equipment
• Working with the Senior Maintenance Planners to safely, efficiently and cost effectively maintain all assets
• Organise schedules and work orders for the mobile maintenance team.
• Organise parts and labour needed in a timely manner for future works, contractor labour and offsite repairs to minimise disruption to the mining operations

WHAT DO I NEED

• Current "C" Class Manual Western Australian driver's licence
• Valid and relevant trade qualifications, certificates, and licences
• Minimum 5 years’ mechanical maintenance experience in an underground mining environment
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Maintenance Planner role or similar role
• Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desired)
• Proficient computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite
• Strong experience with controlling maintenance costs and expenses
• Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
• Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
• Excellent communication skills
