Job summary

The Resources Hub is seeking an experienced Mobile/Fixed Plant Trainer & Assessor to join our site-based training team in the northeast Pilbara. You will deliver training and assessments across mobile plant equipment, conduct VOCs, and support workforce development.

This hands-on role requires working FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, with a 8/6 pattern, flights on Fridays, and a pathway from contract to permanent.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
• Experience delivering training and assessments within the mining industry.
• Strong experience with mobile and/or fixed plant operations.
• Experience conducting VOCs and competency-based assessments.
• Sound knowledge of mining procedures and site safety requirements.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to work FIFO on an 8/6 roster.
• Full Australian working rights; WA resident.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training and competency assessments across mobile plant equipment and site-based activities.
• Conduct VOCs and competency assessments for mobile plant and high‑risk work.
• Train and assess operators on haul trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, graders and ancillary equipment.
• Support competency and training requirements for forklifts, EWPs, cranes and other site equipment.
• Conduct and support assessments for confined space and working at heights.
• Facilitate inductions for new starters and contractors.
• Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.
• Use site training systems and databases to maintain workforce competency records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and safety teams to identify training needs and ensure competency requirements are met.
