Job summary

Sandvik is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor in Mount Isa to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safe and accurate supply of spare parts and materials to customers.

You will lead receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, dispatch and pick-and-pack, driving continuous improvement and compliance with safety and quality standards while delivering excellent service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in warehouse, inventory or logistics operations.
• Strong leadership, organisational and time management skills.
• Well-developed customer relationship and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with EHS policies and safe work practices.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse employees to achieve objectives.
• Oversee receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, dispatch and pick-and-pack operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse layouts and storage solutions for efficiency and accuracy.
• Build and maintain relationships with management, suppliers and customers.
• Monitor performance and prepare reports on productivity, KPIs and team development.
• Facilitate toolbox meetings and on-the-job training for team members.
• Prioritise workloads and allocate resources to meet targets and service requirements.
• Ensure quality across all warehouse activities.
• Lead warehouse improvement projects and succession planning.
