Job summary

Thiess, at Peak Downs Mine in Queensland, seeks a safety-focused Tyre Fitter to join the maintenance team on a 7/7 day roster. You will maintain heavy earthmoving tyres and support safe, efficient operations in a collaborative mining environment.

Key duties include tyre removal/refitting, rim/wheel maintenance, tyre pressure inspections and following site procedures with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship. HR Licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience as Tyre Fitter in open cut mining maintaining a heavy earthmoving tyre fleet.
• Current AUR21920 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012.
• Current Driver's Licence, HR Licence highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Remove, refit and maintain tyres to ensure optimal fleet performance.
• Fit and remove rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Conduct tyre pressure inspections, identify issues and proactively report equipment concerns.
• Access and interpret technical manuals, bulletins and digital maintenance resources.
• Work in accordance with site procedures, safety standards and best practice maintenance processes.
