Job summary

Orica, through Axis Mining Technology, seeks a Field Support Technician in Kalgoorlie to develop technical capability in mining technology and data workflows. The role is office- and warehouse-based initially, with training provided and potential progression into on-site field support.

Based at the Kalgoorlie Service Centre, you will support day-to-day operations, manage equipment and data systems, and build product knowledge while learning in a supportive, structured environment.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with comprehensive training provided.
• Strong interest in technology and mining operations.
• Ability to learn drillhole survey equipment and data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing driller technology fleets and cloud data flow systems.
• Clean, inspect, test and calibrate returned equipment for redeployment.
• Support warehouse and logistics activities, including rental kit prep and equipment tracking.
• Perform office duties: prepare calibration certificates and delivery notes; complete damage reports; maintain asset records.
